About The Position

This is a Temporary Role with hands-on position assisting accounting management in planning, organizing and conducting the daily activities in most aspects of cost accounting for the company with responsibilities to include proper development, maintenance and reporting financial data for Inventory and Product Costing in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The position will also be responsible for maintaining procedures for internal control and processes to aid in achieving company financial targets and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Strong background of inventory valuation and cost accounting
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and in teams to identify and tackle problems enthusiastically and clearly identify key issues of importance for team resolution. Ability to work openly and collaboratively across A10 organization, create strong relationships
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Working knowledge about SOX compliance
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience
  • Experience working with advanced ERP systems. Experience with Oracle is preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication, written and verbal, skills, including bridging communication between Finance and Operations community
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, reporting, visual and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/CMA preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all cost accounting related activities: month-end close (journal entries and corresponding account reconciliations, flux analysis, and Financial Reporting in accordance with GAAP)
  • Responsible for Monthly E&O inventory reserve analysis and warranty reserve analysis
  • Prepare the quarterly OH analysis and JE. Prepare costing-related analysis (PPV/IPV variance analysis, standard costs adjustments, etc.)
  • Responsible for overseeing inventory movements and ensuring the costs are appropriately monitored and captured
  • Work closely with the Engineering & Operations departments to evaluate cost drivers. Ability to communicate across functional departments and provide financial expertise to business partners
  • Interface with the SOX internal auditors for internal control matrix testing. Responsible for preparation of schedules for annual financial audit as well as SOX 404 audit
  • Prepare supporting documentation for the year-end financial audit and the quarterly reviews
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
  • Setting/ update standard costs and reviewing actual costs for variances
  • Strong ability to drive continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Develop product cost and profitability analyses and identify process improvements
  • Coordinate with other corporate financial and accounting management staff to assure timely and accurate operations between the financial functions
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned
