  • PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, or a related field, with focus on corrosion science and engineering
  • Proven research expertise in corrosion modeling and simulation.
  • Proven research expertise in analysis of experimental data.
  • Familiarity with corrosion mitigation or material selection standards.
  • Familiarity with conventional chemical processes across upstream and downstream oil & gas or chemical sectors.
  • Background in scientific programming particularly in coding corrosion/thermodynamic modeling equations (e.g. Python, C++, MATLAB, Fortran).
  • Expertise in regression analysis, data interpretation, model parameterization and optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • Postdoctoral experience in academia or industry is preferred.
  • Proven research expertise in phase/chemical equilibrium calculations with thermodynamic models is preferred.
  • Prefer 5+ years of industrial corrosion experience on projects related to modeling, mitigation, or material selection.
  • Experience working with process simulation platforms (e.g.: APSEN, HYSYS, Pro-II, OLI studio, OLI Flowsheet) or hybrid modeling (i.e.: Hybrid, PINNs, AI/ML) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advance our next-generation state-of-the-art corrosion simulation technology.
  • Provide technical expertise to guide the development of our project portfolio, identifying opportunities, and ensuring alignment with industry needs.
  • Tailor and optimize models for industrial systems to enhance their predictive capabilities in key sectors such as oil and gas, metals and mining, power generation, and water treatment.
