This individual will support the insurance risk team, as well as the construction lawyers with certificate of insurance and renewals, licensing; subcontracts; litigation and insurance claims; and other process improvements including AI initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree and paralegal certificate.
  • Minimum of 8 years corporate paralegal experience.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to create and work within a defined schedule.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, resolutions and other corporate filings.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on various legal issues, regulations, and case law.
  • Analyze and summarize the findings to assist attorneys in making informed decisions and developing legal strategies.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining corporate policies, monitor compliance deadlines, and help prepare necessary reports and filings for regulatory agencies.
  • Provide support for any litigation by gathering and organizing relevant documents, preparing deposition summaries, drafting legal pleadings, and assisting with trial preparation.
  • Serve as a point of contact between internal departments, external attorneys, and other stakeholders, helping to facilitate communication, coordinate meetings, and ensure that relevant parties receive necessary legal information and updates.
