About The Position

The Corporate Sr. Accountant reports to a Corporate Accounting Manager and assists with tasks throughout the month with a focus on maintaining accurate cash balances, completing entries for month-end close, and compiling draft financials for review by the manager. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
• 3-5+ years related accounting/reporting experience.
• GAAP knowledge and some experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of Excel is required including creation and troubleshooting Pivot Tables and various formulas.
• ERP accounting software experience is required.
• Ability to take initiative in solving routine/advanced problems but presents possible solutions to manager or supervisor for feedback regarding more complex issues /or problems.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Desire to work in a cooperative, productive, team-driven environment and willingness to share information with co-workers as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to work with a large volume of data is preferred.
• Commercial Real Estate or similar service industry experience is preferred.
• Yardi and/or Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal and external reporting of market financial results.
• Prepare and record journal entries including recurring monthly entries, cash transactions, reclasses, and other entries as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain daily cash reconciliations and prepare month-end bank reconciliations.
• The senior would oversee cash recs and wire distribution between markets and prepare partner distribution packets.
• Review invoice coding and prepare AP batches for review by the managing partner.
• Prepare and post customer and intercompany billings.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with research and explanation of month-over-month variances.
• Complete other ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
