Position Title: Senior Coordinator, Scholarship Services Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Standard Hours: 40 hours/week Location: Hybrid – 1 day in office each week, 4 days remote each week (subject to change depending on business needs) Reports To: Manager of Scholarship Services Salary Range: $47,000 - $52,000 commensurate with relevant experience Assigned To: Scholarship Services Position Summary: The Senior Scholarship Coordinator oversees the coordination, tracking, and support of the Say Yes Cleveland scholarship program at College Now, which provides over $3.5 million in scholarship dollars to more than 1,500 students annually. This position works closely with students, colleges, external partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth scholarship administration, accurate fund management, and support for students’ transitions into and through college.

Requirements

  • Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds and lived experiences
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Team player with leadership and training experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with databases, reporting tools, and CRM systems preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience in scholarship administration, financial aid, and/or college counseling.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; related experience in higher education strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evaluate the Say Yes Cleveland scholarship program from application to award.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of applications, payments, and reporting.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students and families in understanding and navigating financial aid.
  • Coordinate with postsecondary institutions, the Mentoring Department, and advising teams.
  • Supports the Say Yes Cleveland Scholarship appeal process, including staffing the committee and providing support to students throughout the appeal process.
  • Train College Now advisors on scholarship eligibility and application requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records using internal systems and fund tracking.
  • Lead internal committees or projects to enhance scholarship processes and department efficiency.
