About The Position

The Scholarship Process Improvement Coordinator supports the university’s scholarship and enrollment management efforts by leading process optimization and system coordination for UA Foundation–funded scholarships. This role works at the intersection of Financial Aid, the UA Foundation, OIT, and campus partners to ensure scholarship funds are awarded efficiently, equitably, and in alignment with donor intent and institutional priorities. Within the department, the Coordinator oversees scholarship lifecycle management—from fund categorization and application configuration to awarding, disbursement, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include managing applicant pools, supporting scholarship committees, coordinating system testing and training, maintaining Banner and scholarship platform accuracy, monitoring acceptance and over award risks, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve award rates and reduce un-awardable funds. The position plays a key role in sustaining a scalable, compliant, and student-centered scholarship operation. To thrive in this role, an individual must be highly organized, systems-oriented, and comfortable managing complex scholarship processes across multiple partners. Success depends on strong collaboration and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate fund agreements and enrollment priorities into accurate system configuration. A proactive, data-driven approach to identifying risks, improving processes, and supporting timely, equitable awarding is essential.
