About The Position

Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) is a student-centered organization providing innovative services, programs, products, and facilities to the UCLA community. Established in 1919, ASUCLA has evolved into a four-part organization comprising the Undergraduate Students Association, Graduate Students Association, Student Media, and Services & Enterprises. The Services & Enterprises division meets the everyday needs of students and the campus community through units like the Student Union, Event Services, UCLA Restaurants, UCLA Store, UCLA Photography, and Trademarks & Licensing. ASUCLA's goals are to provide essential, high-quality, low-cost products; maintain welcoming and state-of-the-art facilities; support diverse student-run programming; and offer outstanding support services to student government, groups, and programs. The Senior Cook position is located at the Court of Science Center.

Requirements

6+ years food production experience in a high volume environment.
Exposure to menu/product development, food presentation, receiving and storage of product.
Demonstrated knowledge of sanitation and equipment handling/maintenance guidelines.
Strong written/oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all CSSC kitchen food production under the direction of the CSSC Customer Service Manager.
Assists with menu and new product development.
Follows quality control, product presentation, receiving, storage, and sanitation guidelines.
Trains and monitors staff in all activities.
Performs special assignments.
