About The Position

Actus Nutrition (Milk Specialties Company) has an opening based out of its facilities in Norfolk, Nebraska for the position of Senior Controls Engineer. This role involves advising on, recommending, and engaging in the selection of plant equipment and related control needs for digital and analog I/O, cabinet and system design requirements. The Senior Controls Engineer will oversee external control vendors, lead design, coding, testing, and debugging of programs, and modify existing programming to ensure plant processes run effectively. This position also drives standards for control system reliability, oversees control network communications to minimize performance issues and security risks, and provides support for critical plant control system issues. Additionally, the role oversees project production efforts to ensure timely and within-budget completion, inspects completed installations, observes operations to ensure conformance to specifications, and collects data related to control systems to determine operating efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related specialty technical field.
  • Five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in controls engineering in a processing plant.
  • Experience must explicitly include work with Allen Bradley PLCs, related components, and Logix programming.
  • Experience must explicitly include work with various HMI developments (Factory Talk ME, Factory Talk View and/or Aveva InTouch) and all related systems (tag/data servers and historians).
  • Experience must explicitly include work with Rockwell and related US automation technologies.
  • Experience must explicitly include work with control system design and troubleshooting methodologies.

Responsibilities
