As a Senior Controls Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the design and development of advanced control systems powering Eaton’s next-generation circuit protection products.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in designing, developing or testing power system analysis or motor controls.
  • Model-based design using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience with HiL systems or real-time simulation/validation
  • Embedded systems knowledge (C/C++ or firmware integration)
  • Strong understanding of controls theory and system modeling
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems and power electronics
  • General knowledge of industrial circuit breaker design, requirements, and applications
  • Proficiency/working knowledge of hardware in the loop (HiL) systems
  • Proficiency working in real time embedded operating systems
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative orientation, the ability to succeed in a highly team oriented, global, and diverse environment
  • Consistently acts in an ethical, open, honest, trustworthy and truthful manner

  • Experience in utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes
  • Experience with DFSS tools
  • Master’s degree in electrical/computer engineering from an accredited institution

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop model-based control systems (MATLAB/Simulink) for cutting-edge power electronic applications
  • Translate models into production-ready solutions using auto-code generation and embedded C/C++ integration
  • Validate and refine control strategies through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and real-time embedded testing
  • Work hands-on with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, embedded systems, etc.) to bring designs to life
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, and product experts to deliver innovative solutions
  • Drive projects forward—owning timelines, deliverables, and technical outcomes
  • Contribute to intellectual property and next-gen technology development
