About The Position

SAIC is hiring a self-motivated Senior Contracts Principal to provide contract support for high complexity and strategic proposals within the Army Navy Group (ANG). The individual will be responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of Cost Plus and FFP proposals. The individual will be the “book boss” for all cost and/or contract volumes and as such responsible for writing the cost proposal, compiling supporting documentation, drafting any other required contractual artifacts (Commercial contracts, Commercial Solutions Opening (CSOs), Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), OCI mitigation plans, total compensation plans, administrative information, etc.). The Senior Contracts Principal will work closely with legal, functional counterparts, and Senior Leadership within the company. This position is 100% remote.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related business discipline and fifteen (15) years or more of experience; OR Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; OR PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience, and minimum fifteen (15) years' contract proposal experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Extensive experience with CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FFP, T&M and commercial contracts and proposal preparation.
• Strong grasp of Organizational Conflicts of Interest concepts and mitigation strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFAR and applicable Agency supplements.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and independently with senior management.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing acquisitions, including FAR, DFARS, TINA and CAS.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners/customers and interact with senior executive leadership of the Business Group.
• US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Act as the “book boss” for all cost and/or contract volumes.
• Responsible for writing the cost proposal, compiling supporting documentation, and drafting any other required contractual artifacts (Commercial contracts, Commercial Solutions Opening (CSOs), Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), OCI mitigation plans, total compensation plans, administrative information, etc.).
• Work closely with legal, functional counterparts, and Senior Leadership within the company.
• Effectively identify and mitigate Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) and write OCI Mitigation Plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to proposal compliance, pricing strategy, contract execution, performance/reputation.
• Provide creative solutions.
