About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Senior Contracts Principal to join its Strategic Proposal Team (SPT), supporting Federal Civilian agencies. The position works at the intersection of contracts management and proposal strategy on high-visibility bids. It partners with capture, program, pricing, subcontracts, and executive leadership to balance risk, compliance, and growth, with particular attention to how contract terms and structures affect financial risk, margins, and cash flow. This is a hands-on authorship role, directly responsible for drafting and finalizing contractual and business proposal volumes, including Cost/Price Narratives, OCI Mitigation Plans, Total Compensation Plans, and Representations & Certifications. The role is 100% remote within the United States. The Senior Contracts Principal owns proposal-volume strategy, authoring, and review; analyzes solicitations and advises on risk allocation, mitigation, assumptions, and competitive strategy; supports pre-RFP shaping, white papers, and RFI responses; and negotiates teaming agreements, NDAs, and terms-and-conditions matrices. The role works with pricing analysts to ensure compliant pricing submissions, evaluates the financial effects of proposed contract terms, and advises on structuring and performance across a range of contract vehicles. It also aligns subcontractor and partner terms, advises executives, leads negotiations with federal contracting personnel, and promotes improved contracts and proposal practices. SAIC is a mission integrator serving defense, space, intelligence, and civilian markets. The company reports approximately 23,000 employees and annual revenues of approximately $7.3 billion, and is headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
