Position Summary Join CVS Health as a Senior Contracts Manager and lead the negotiation, development, and execution of complex IT and Non‑IT agreements that power our enterprise. In this high‑impact role, you’ll guide a team of contracting professionals, partner with senior executives, and influence strategic initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years professional experience
  • 5+ years contracts experience, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements
  • 3+ years advising senior leaders on contract risks and strategy
  • Proven ability to manage high‑volume, high‑complexity negotiations
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule at a CVS HUB: Tuesday, Wednesday and two Thursdays a month.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or similar experience required

  • Experience with Ariba (or similar contract management systems)
  • Experience in healthcare or retail procurement
  • JD, MBA, or relevant advanced degree
  • Professional certifications (C.P.M., C.P.P.O., C.F.C.M., C.P.C.M.)
  • Experience leading and developing teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead drafting, negotiation, and finalization of complex vendor contracts while managing risk and maximizing enterprise value.
  • Serve as the escalation point for contract issues, advising senior leaders on legal, commercial, and compliance risks.
  • Partner across Legal, Sourcing, Security, Privacy, Tax, Finance, and other SMEs to ensure alignment with policies and regulations.
  • Support enterprise initiatives including supplier integration, M&A activities, and enterprise‑wide cost‑saving projects.
  • Manage and mentor a high‑performing team across multiple locations.
  • Maintain and enhance contract templates, processes, and purchasing policies.
  • Provide guidance on contractual rights/obligations and support supplier performance, compliance, and improvement efforts.
  • Represent Procurement in business reviews, stakeholder meetings, and educational sessions to reinforce contracting best practices.
