About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional responsible for supporting the development and execution of commercial contracts related to the purchase and delivery of data and services. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate contractual compliance, advise on contractual rights and obligations, influence internal stakeholders, and lead complex negotiations with both internal and external customers. This individual must demonstrate strong commercial judgement, deep expertise within their discipline, and advanced negotiation skills. You must be able to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance while partnering cross-functionally to influence commercial strategy. We are also looking for someone eager to lead projects or other key initiatives that drive results. Ultimately, you will be a trusted resource and mentor to external customers, internal stakeholders, and less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal experience preferred
  • Be a professional with 3+ years of contracting, negotiating, legal, and/or relevant commercial experience
  • Possess expertise and success in own job discipline and fundamental understanding of related job disciplines
  • Proven success in independent complex problem solving
  • Ability to manage complex, high value negotiations and commercial strategy
  • Driven to provide world-class customer service by providing support and guidance to internal and external customers
  • Ensure adherence to contracting workflows, policies, and approval processes
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison across teams to drive alignment and resolve issues efficiently
  • Lead projects or key initiatives and contribute to team development efforts

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating contract compliance and advising others on contractual rights and obligations
  • Independently negotiate, execute, and draft contracts and service orders in alignment with team guidelines and processes
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop negotiation strategies that appropriately balance customer objectives with business objectives
  • Build and manage strong internal and external professional relationships, ensuring timely communication and effective expectation setting
  • Collaborate and lead cross-functionally to influence commercial strategy, secure required approvals, and support contract execution
  • Clearly articulate risks, trade-offs, and options to stakeholders to support informed decision-making
  • Identify, escalate, and document exceptions to standard contracting language in accordance with defined processes
  • Manage workload and priorities effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
  • Drive process improvements, including developing and maintaining documentation and educating team members
  • Support business goals by collaborating on strategic initiatives aimed at achieving or exceeding revenue targets
