About The Position

This role is within the Operational Excellence (OpX) organization of Global Operations at Pratt & Whitney Canada, reporting to the Senior Lean and Continuous Improvement Manager. The team is crucial in transforming operations by supporting manufacturing, assembly, end-to-end supply chain performance, supplier performance, quality, and customer delivery (OTD). This is a strategic and hands-on position focused on defining and driving the supply chain continuous improvement roadmap and leading on-the-ground transformation initiatives to deliver measurable results. The leader will spearhead high-impact initiatives such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, problem-solving, standard work, and pull systems, directly impacting operational performance in areas like On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality (defect reduction, Cost of Poor Quality – COPQ, process capability), lead times, inventory optimization, supplier quality and delivery, and SIOP/S&OP process maturity. This role requires a high-impact transformation leader who thrives in complex environments, operating with significant autonomy and visibility, and partnering with senior leadership to drive measurable improvements across multiple sites. The ability to influence, challenge the status quo, and deliver results is critical for this transformation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or Management
  • 10+ years of experience in Lean / continuous improvement in a manufacturing and supply chain environment
  • Strong experience in operational quality (defect reduction, problem solving, CAPA, COPQ)
  • Experience with supply chain challenges: OTD, SIOP/S&OP, supplier management, inventory management
  • Experience leading large-scale Lean transformation (multi-site, cross-functional)
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems, and change management capability
  • Influential leadership, with the ability to drive engagement without direct authority
  • Very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma tools (Black Belt strongly preferred)
  • Experience improving quality systems (QMS, audits, standardization) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Partner with supply chain, quality, and operations teams to improve overall performance (OTD, quality, cost, delivery)
  • Drive end-to-end supply chain transformation initiatives delivering measurable improvements in OTD, quality, and cost performance
  • Own and lead cross-functional initiatives impacting planning, procurement, manufacturing, and supplier performance
  • Facilitate workshops (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, A3/8D problem-solving, standard work)
  • Integrate Lean with quality systems (root cause analysis, CAPA, poka-yoke, process control)
  • Strengthen SIOP/S&OP / SIOE processes
  • Participate in performance reviews (KPIs: OTD, PPM, COPQ, lead time, inventory)
  • Track and quantify improvements (quality, productivity, cost savings, service level)
  • Standardize Lean and quality best practices across sites
  • Coach teams and leaders to build a sustainable Lean and quality culture
  • Support suppliers in improving quality and delivery performance
