About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to support the launch of new projects and initiatives across the country, with a specific focus on our West Coast fulfillment operations. This role is responsible for supporting the team that manages the start-up, validation, and sustainment of our existing and incoming software and systems. The ideal candidate will recommend processes, procedures, and modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products utilizing knowledge of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). This position will also determine appropriate skills necessary for equipment/process operability and establish training requirements. Additionally, the Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer will develop and coach current CI Engineers, fostering a deep bench of lean-focused teammates. The role involves analyzing data, using basic statistical tools, and employing value stream mapping to understand processes and identify strategic improvement opportunities for facility and layout optimization. A working knowledge of standard-work is essential to ensure every work activity is properly defined, displayed, and followed to enable safety adherence, consistent quality, and productivity. The engineer will use basic Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to develop process improvement initiatives and manage a portfolio of lean projects aimed at reducing waste and improving quality. This includes implementing tools such as 5S, KPI, SMED, VSM, Kaizen, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability, Pareto analysis, Fishbone, and SMED. The role also involves creating documentation for training materials and communicating plans to stakeholders for alignment.
