About The Position

At Regions, the Senior Consumer Relationship Banker meets with customers and prospects in person and by phone to identify their financial needs and proactively offer appropriate products, services, and guidance. The role focuses on acquiring and deepening customer relationships, especially Preferred Banking Households, and supporting more complex affluent banking needs, wealth opportunities, investments, lending, debt consolidation, and savings conversations. The banker works with the Branch Team to serve as a primary relationship manager for a portfolio of Preferred Banking Households, meet individual and branch goals, and provide an optimal customer experience. The position also supports team development as a subject matter expert for junior bankers and follows banking processes, procedures, laws, and regulations. It is incentive-eligible and requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). A life insurance license must be obtained within 120 days of hire. The role is full-time and based at the Belle Forest branch in Nashville, Tennessee.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of banking, sales, and/or customer service experience.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Obtain a life insurance license within 120 days of hire.
Register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Excellent relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Achieve individual and branch targets by identifying customer needs and offering advanced guidance on Regions’ solutions, with a focus on Preferred Banking Households.
Make outbound calls to customers and prospects from generated lead lists to expand existing relationships and acquire new ones.
Partner with the Branch Team as a primary relationship manager for a portfolio of Preferred Banking Households.
Educate and advise customers on Regions’ consumer and business products and services, including loan and deposit products, annuities, and life insurance.
Educate customers about digital banking offerings, including mobile, online, and ATM services.
Provide a consistent customer experience, including sharing day-to-day branch duties such as greeting customers and processing transactions.
Own and resolve customer issues.
Refer customers to internal experts when additional financial goals or needs are identified.
Support team development by serving as a subject matter expert for junior-level bankers.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations; complete duties delegated by the Branch Manager and help ensure sound banking practices, including identifying and reporting operational risks.
