About The Position

Amex GBT Consulting is the consulting arm of American Express Global Business Travel, the leading Software and Services Company in the world. Within the consulting organization – existing of 250+ consultants across the globe - we work with the worlds most respected organizations and brands to accelerate their programs, utilizing our technology and expertise to enable social, economic and environmental progress. Operating in a continually changing environment, our diversified consultants deliver on multi-disciplinary projects around travel and expense program optimisation, from traditional sourcing activities up to enhanced sustainability initiatives. We’re now looking for an ambitious senior consulting manager to join our delivery team based in the US.

Requirements

  • Client facing experience, preferably from a consulting related background.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor, capable of identifying expansion opportunity during customer interaction.
  • Collaborative, energetic, flexible and can-do attitude.
  • You'll be able to rally people together from within the client organisation through to internal resources in order to get things done.
  • Critical thinker, thrives on working in an innovative environment that champions knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  • Analytically minded, understands data with ease and is comfortable in its transformation into insights and conclusions.
  • Can multi-task with ease and manage competing priorities.
  • Diverse in thinking and approach, will adapt well in a truly global team and has the ability to overcome cultural challenges or barriers at ease.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
  • Ability to solve problems with quantitative thinking and in-depth analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new engagements and guide customer and affiliate stakeholders to achieve objectives within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Direct initiatives in an efficient and effective manner across multiple business areas
  • Work across diverse subject matters including sourcing, category management, expense management, and spend management
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and facilitate clear communication across teams
  • Identify challenges and solve problems with confidence and strategic thinking
  • Transform hypotheses and conclusions into actionable recommendations and solutions
  • Present findings and communicate effectively to customers at all seniority levels
  • Own accountability for engagement outcomes and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure successful execution
  • Demonstrate confidence and professionalism in all customer-facing scenarios
