About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant to join our growing team. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a mentor, trainer, and coach to Interns and Consultants as you facilitate the successful completion of project work plans. You’ll identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency. You’ll strengthen relationships and deepen your abilities to communicate, gain trust, and network with client personnel and professional associates. At the direction of Managers, you may accept responsibility for decision-making in areas including establishing project scope and work plans, project staffing, preparation of deliverables, and application of methodologies. At Protiviti, Technology Audit & Advisory focuses on helping clients better manage risks associated with their use of technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. This includes innovation in identifying solutions to client problems related to technology, helping them rethink how technology processes are managed by incorporating AI and automation. They also focus on technology enablement by incorporating analytics, AI, automation, and other new tools and methods in the execution of audit work for clients, enabling a deeper, broader, more efficient, and more insightful analysis of clients’ technology risks. They support a broad set of potential certifications and related trainings for their team, equipping the technology audit organization to stay at the forefront of emerging risks and trends. Consultants in Technology Audit & Advisory work with clients to assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on different technology-related topics, including: Cybersecurity, Cloud Assurance, Project Risk Advisory, Technology Risk Management and Assessment, IT General Controls (ITGC), AI and Data Governance, Data Privacy, Technology Regulations, Enterprise Applications, Technology Resilience, IT Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Emerging Technologies, 2nd Line Controls, Governance, and Technology Enablement.

Requirements

• Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
• Experience with commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
• A passion for the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
• A passion for analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ ML etc.).
• A passion for evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
• A passion for establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network.
• Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
• Knowledge and understanding of the energy and utilities industry.
• Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
• 2 + years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions a plus.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred.

• Leverage AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
• Perform documentation of findings and summarizing recommendations.
