About The Position

This role involves supporting the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports, including the Call Report, FR Y-9C, and other applicable regulatory filings. The position requires performing data analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting data. A key aspect of the role is interpreting and applying regulatory reporting instructions, resolving classification and mapping questions, and identifying/implementing process improvements to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency. The Senior Consultant will also support the maintenance of regulatory reporting documentation, partner with various teams to resolve issues and support initiatives, and execute/document testing activities for changes impacting regulatory reporting. Contribution to broader regulatory reporting projects, remediation efforts, and control enhancement initiatives is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, regulatory change, or a related financial services function, including exposure to the Call Report (FFIEC 031/041), FR Y-9C, and other regulatory filings.
  • Experience performing data analysis, reconciliations, and testing in a financial services or data-intensive environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across business, regulatory reporting, data, and technology teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting for Loans, Deposits, or Derivatives/Securities.
  • Proficiency in SQL and the ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Experience with Axiom or other regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping.
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting controls, governance, and data quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports, including the Call Report, FR Y-9C, and other applicable regulatory filings, for assigned product areas such as Loans, Deposits, or Derivatives/Securities.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of regulatory reporting data.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory reporting instructions to product-specific transactions and balances, resolving classification and mapping questions.
  • Assist with the identification and implementation of process improvements that enhance data quality, strengthen controls, and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support the maintenance of regulatory reporting documentation, including business rules, control procedures, and data lineage.
  • Partner with regulatory reporting, data, and technology teams to support issue resolution, system enhancements, and reporting-related initiatives.
  • Execute and document testing activities, including QA and UAT, to validate changes impacting regulatory reporting processes and outputs.
  • Contribute to broader regulatory reporting projects, remediation efforts, and control enhancement initiatives.
