You will have the opportunity to work with clients in a variety of sectors including health systems and providers, physician groups, ancillary providers, medical schools, vision, laboratory, dental and behavior health; managed care and health plans, government plans and programs, healthcare investors and lenders, medical devices, healthcare suppliers and infrastructure, and life sciences. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role on project teams serving as a trusted partner to clients within the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for supporting and managing key workstreams, performing data-driven analyses, developing insights and recommendations, and contributing to the design and implementation of workforce and human capital transformation initiatives. Senior Associates are expected to work independently, communicate effectively, and collaborate closely with team members and client stakeholders. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details. Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Workforce Management, or related areas within the healthcare industry
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a healthcare consulting environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Public Health (MPH) preferred
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, including understanding of healthcare operations, workforce strategy, and labor market dynamics
  • Experience supporting or managing initiatives such as workforce planning, staffing-to-demand analysis, organizational design, or HR transformation
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize findings into actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare client-ready materials and present findings to project stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Action O-I benchmarking, or MGMA survey data is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the design and implementation of organizational and workforce transformation initiatives across a range of healthcare clients
  • Managing discrete project workstreams, ensuring progress against goals, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Conducting research, quantitative analyses, and qualitative interviews to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Developing client-ready deliverables such as presentations, reports, and dashboards that clearly communicate findings and recommendations
  • Partnering with client leaders and team members to identify priorities and execute high-impact solutions under tight timelines
  • Collaborating with project managers and Directors to monitor engagement economics, deliverables, and client expectations
  • Assisting in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarking tools, and analytics to measure workforce efficiency and outcomes
  • Contributing to the identification and resolution of root causes for workforce management issues through data-driven insights and practical recommendations
  • Participating in proposal development, client presentations, and business development activities as needed
  • Contributing to team culture by fostering collaboration, learning, and inclusion across all engagements
