About The Position

The Senior Consultant – Healthcare & Life Sciences AI role is a full-time, permanent position based in Washington, DC, USA, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 3 days per week onsite at client offices. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience leading projects in the Pharma/Life Sciences sector, coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Generative AI solutions. This position demands strong client-facing consulting abilities, executive presence, commercial insight, and the capacity to transform intricate business challenges into scalable AI solutions. The role involves leading client-facing AI and analytics programs for major pharmaceutical companies, driving AI/GenAI transformation across Clinical, R&D, and Real-World Data domains. Responsibilities include translating business problems into AI use cases, collaborating with various teams, leading client engagements, and acting as a liaison between technical AI teams and senior business stakeholders. The consultant will also drive the adoption of GenAI, translate data insights into actionable recommendations, support business development, manage complex programs, and mentor teams. A key aspect is contributing to thought leadership and developing AI capabilities within the Healthcare & Life Sciences sector.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience leading Pharma/Life Sciences projects, preferably for Fortune 100 clients.
5+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Generative AI solution development and deployment.
Strong understanding of AI/ML and GenAI solutions in enterprise environments.
Experience with Clinical, R&D, or Real-World Data within the pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with AI/ML solution deployment, MLOps, LLMOps, or cloud engineering.
Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in complex program management and delivery oversight.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes.
Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Willingness to work 3 days per week onsite at client offices.
Stable career history with demonstrated job stability.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple client-facing AI and analytics programs for Fortune 100 pharmaceutical organizations.
Drive AI/GenAI transformation initiatives across Clinical, R&D, and Real-World Data.
Translate complex Pharma business challenges into actionable analytics and AI use cases.
Partner with Clinical, R&D, Real-World Data, data science, engineering, and business teams.
Lead client workshops, solution discussions, daily client meetings, and strategic engagements.
Serve as a bridge between technical AI teams and senior Life Sciences business stakeholders.
Drive adoption of GenAI and AI-enabled delivery approaches to improve project efficiency.
Translate data and model outputs into clear recommendations, dashboards, and executive-level stories.
Support solution development, proposals, client presentations, and business development activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Identify expansion opportunities and contribute to account growth and strategic account plans.
Manage complex programs, delivery oversight, resources, risks, and client escalations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to consulting and technical teams.
Contribute to thought leadership and development of Healthcare & Life Sciences AI capabilities.
