About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their CFO Advisory team within their Operations Excellence practice. This role will help clients modernize their finance organizations and ERP environments, bridging finance processes, technology, and program execution. The ideal candidate brings experience working in ERP implementations—whether through hands-on implementation or ERP program management—and is ready to take broader ownership of transformation initiatives. You will work alongside finance, accounting, technology, and development teams to translate business needs into action and drive complex ERP programs forward.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of consulting, ERP implementation, finance transformation, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, with hands-on configuration or implementation experience strongly preferred; candidates with ERP PMO or program management experience and strong functional knowledge will also be considered.
  • Experience managing ERP workstreams, project activities, or cross-functional teams through key phases of an implementation.
  • Practical understanding of accounting fundamentals and ERP-enabled finance processes, including areas such as record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Experience with implementation activities such as requirements gathering, process design, testing, training, cutover, issue management, or post-launch stabilization.
  • Ability to work across finance, business, and technical stakeholders and translate between functional requirements and technology teams.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience with major ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise/custom ERP environments is valuable; expertise in a specific platform is not required.
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to travel 25 to 50%.
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
  • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ERP transformation workstreams and deliverables, coordinating activities across client finance, accounting, technology, and development teams.
  • Support finance and ERP transformation initiatives including application strategy, implementation planning, process design, program management, testing, training, cutover, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Lead or coordinate finance and accounting cutover activities, helping teams prepare for the transition from legacy processes and systems to new ERP environments.
  • Plan and execute testing activities, facilitate issue triage, and partner with functional and technical teams to drive issues through resolution.
  • Translate finance and accounting requirements into clear business and system needs while helping stakeholders understand downstream process and technology impacts.
  • Develop project plans, track dependencies and risks, facilitate working sessions, and communicate progress and decisions to client and West Monroe stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through structured problem solving, attention to detail, and quality assurance of team outputs.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
  • Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
  • Contribute ERP and finance transformation experience to proposals, client discussions, methodologies, tools, and reusable project assets.
  • Coach junior team members and share ERP, finance transformation, and program delivery knowledge across project teams.
