About The Position

Join ERM, the largest dedicated team of EHS professionals globally, as a Senior Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety. This role, based in the Seattle Area (with flexibility in Redmond, Bellevue, Seattle, Everett, Edmonds), involves collaborating with leading companies in various industries to tackle critical safety challenges and shape safer workplaces. ERM partners with organizations to create sustainable, safe environments, and this position will play a key role in solving complex occupational health and safety challenges, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related science OR equivalent work experience (2 years = 1 year education).
3+ years of relevant experience in EHS compliance (e.g., stormwater, behavior-based safety).
Ability to travel across the Puget Sound area including occasional overnight stays and/or daily client site visits based on business needs.
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in cross-functional teams.
Valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle.
Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience with industries such as tech, bio-pharma, manufacturing.
Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.
Knowledge of Washington-specific EHS regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on support to clients, helping them implement effective EHS programs and strategies.
Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to protect personnel and the environment.
Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Collaborate with global teams to design innovative solutions for hazards, chemical management, industrial hygiene, and more.
Build strong client relationships and become a trusted extension of their EHS team.
Provide onsite client support to address pressing EHS challenges.
Provide support and/or conduct EHS compliance audits, including reviewing regulatory requirements, identifying gaps, documenting findings, and supporting corrective action planning.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.
Perform safety audits, assessments, and safety process improvements in areas such as: Behavior-Based Safety, Chemical & Lab Safety, Electrical Safety / NFPA 70E, Industrial Hygiene, Robotics Safety, Process Hazard Assessments, LOTO.
Assist in developing and implementing programs for HazComm, IIPP, PSM, and more.
Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are in place.
Assist in managing projects to meet scope, budget, and schedule targets.
