You’ll report into our BA/DA Practice and partner closely with key business stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams. In this role, you’ll support several core lines of business and systems, including Scheduled Auto, OMNI, Rapid 2, and UPBT. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for the cloud migration process, preparing and facilitating ingestion strategy implementation, and taking part in validation efforts post implementation. Your day-to-day work will include applying your analytical skills to determine business value and facilitating correct requirement identification. You'll conduct requirements elicitation, validation, and analysis meetings with business stakeholders, support testing activities, and engage in Agile ceremonies. You'll synthesize rules and logic to create data transformation rules, understand overall data models, relationships, lineage, and business rules, and perform fairly intricate analysis to find resolutions of business data issues using SQL and related tools. You'll also evaluate organizational methods and supply source-to-target mappings and model specification documents for datasets, ensuring data is handled and managed following enterprise data quality and data management standards. You'll develop business and application domain knowledge for your assigned value stream, aiding your Team Lead/Product Owner with artifacts for strategic discussions, and refining epics and user stories that have clear acceptance criteria. You'll be an excellent coach, guiding, and collaborating with technical counterparts and other Agile team members to ensure that everyone is working together effectively. We're looking for candidates with Travelers Business Insurance subject matter experience, experience in cloud migration and data analysis, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a passion for collaboration and teamwork. As a Sr Consultant, Data Management you will work on effective data governance practices to ensure that data is consistent, trustworthy, and doesn't get misused. You will measure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of data to embody and promote Traveler's data culture values. Consulting with business partners, you will drive the discussion to develop, implement, execute, and document data management, data governance, and metadata policies, standards, and best practices. Leveraging your understanding of the data ecosystem, business process and decision-making, and the data value chain, you will perform moderately complex root cause analysis to improve the quality of data.
