About The Position

As part of the CIBC’s Global Asset Management Technology team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking. Requirements

  • 3-4+ years in a BSA in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions.
  • Ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation.
  • Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills is a must.
  • Strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data.
  • Gap analysis expertise.
  • Working knowledge on Azure data warehouse, Databricks, and proficient with SQL queries, data structure design in data modelling.
  • Proficient with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Alteryx and Excel pivot tables.
  • Proficient with Visio, and other Microsoft office applications.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Stakeholder management abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Good understanding on investment products such as mutual funds, ETF, Personal Portfolio Service (PPS) and GIC.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs.
  • Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.
  • Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
