About The Position

Granger Construction is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to lead projects and mentor teams. This role involves setting the tone on-site by providing leadership, fostering collaboration, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The Senior Superintendent will partner with the Granger project team, direct subcontractors, anticipate client needs, manage costs, drive schedules and quality, and act as a brand ambassador representing Granger's values.

Requirements

  • Previous oversight of commercial construction projects ranging from $85M–$150M
  • Strong ability to manage priorities, time, and details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and solve problems before they arise.
  • Tenacity to self-start, follow through, and drive deadlines.
  • Comfort with construction management technologies and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare project experience preferred but not required.
  • Emotional Intelligence: You understand people, foster collaboration, and adapt to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Builder’s Mindset: Innovative, forward-thinking, and solution-driven for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tech Knowledge: Experience with construction-specific software such as Procore, Viewpoint, or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Jobsite: Partner with the Granger project team and direct subcontractors daily. Anticipate client needs and set projects up for success.
  • Mentor & Guide: Engage and mentor team members; provide learning opportunities for less experienced personnel and ensure a collaborative environment.
  • Manage Costs: Establish goals and plans; ensure subcontractors perform within scope and hold accountability for out-of-scope work; work closely with Project Managers for resolution.
  • Drive Schedule & Quality: Develop and oversee project schedules, coordinate sequencing of work, and hold subcontractors accountable for execution. Partner with the team to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador: Represent Granger’s values- trust, honesty, fairness, integrity, and appreciation- in every interaction with owners, subcontractors, and the community.
