Senior Construction Schedule Manager

McGough•Bismarck, ND
•Onsite

About The Position

The Senior Construction Scheduler develops and maintains schedules for commercial construction projects, using critical path scheduling and McGough’s Last Planner System to track and maintain progress. The role attends weekly meetings to review and update progress, reviews subcontractors’ weekly work plans, updates project tracking tools, and periodically leads pull-planning meetings to create work plans for scheduled critical-path milestones. The position leads planning efforts in collaboration with project managers and McGough’s Schedule Department, develops and updates detailed Primavera P6 schedules, monitors schedules developed by operations staff, and supports project teams with scheduling guidance. It analyzes project documents and schedule performance, evaluates actual construction status against the plan, assesses the effects of changes, prepares time-impact analyses, and helps teams explore alternate sequencing and mitigate delays. The role also supports conceptual bid and proposal schedules, cost and manpower loading, schedule reporting and earned-value analysis, coordination of non-construction processes, and weekly subcontractor work-plan updates. This is primarily an onsite position. Travel and per diem are available for those who qualify. The role includes prolonged sitting at a workstation, during meetings, and while traveling by plane or car; lifting up to 20 pounds; and occasional construction-site visits, with possible exposure to dust, dirt, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather, and extreme temperatures. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
