About The Position

An established construction firm is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee a range of commercial, institutional, and public-sector projects. This position is responsible for driving projects from early planning stages through completion, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Project work may include renovations, site development, IDIQ contracts, lump sum engagements, and fast-track delivery schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • 4–7 years of experience with a commercial or industrial general contractor or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and/or self-performed scopes
  • Strong understanding of construction project execution and workflows
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience with scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and cost management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Ability to work in active construction environments (including lifting up to 50 lbs and navigating job sites)

  • Background in government or public-sector construction projects
  • Familiarity with IDIQ contracts and accelerated project schedules
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • USACE/NAVFAC CQC certification is a plus
  • Professional credentials such as AC, CPC, or PE are highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Manage full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closeout
  • Prepare cost estimates, develop budgets, and support proposal creation
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
  • Create and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
  • Monitor schedule performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess safety, quality, and progress
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders including design teams, subcontractors, and internal staff
  • Ensure adherence to permitting requirements and regulatory standards
  • Facilitate meetings and maintain thorough project documentation
  • Oversee financial tracking, including job costing and billing processes
  • Support company safety programs and quality control standards
  • Work closely with field teams to develop short-term planning schedules
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively implement solutions
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and specifications
