About The Position

AECOM Hunt has an opportunity for a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team and support the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role involves establishing operational objectives and work plans, delegating assignments to subordinate managers, and reviewing objectives to determine operational success. The position requires developing and modifying company policies that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effects. The Senior Construction Project Manager will work on issues requiring an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives, implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria, and oversee the administration of projects during the construction cycle, including technical, financial, and client satisfaction aspects. The role is accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of planning, design, and/or construction management activities and personnel under their direction on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

  • BS Construction Management/Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant construction management experience
  • 2 years of leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retrofitting existing buildings and to fit for new purpose/use which includes structural modifications and MEFP upgrades.
  • Experience in management of design-build contractors
  • Ability to compose and buy out scopes of work
  • Experience with sports venues either permanent construction or temporary construction
  • Change Management experience – both on the cost side also in general – ability to adapt to changes in schedule and sequencing
  • Multiple Stakeholder management
