Senior Construction Project Manager, Supply Chain (Hybrid, Seattle)

Nordstrom•Seattle, WA
•$131,500 - $210,500•Hybrid

About The Position

As a Sr. Construction Project Manager on Nordstrom's Design & Construction team, you'll lead construction projects across our Supply Chain network — fulfillment centers, distribution centers, and related logistics facilities — from early scoping through final closeout. This is a senior-level role for someone who has already mastered the fundamentals of construction project management and is ready to independently own the most complex, highest-value projects in the portfolio, set the technical bar for the team, and mentor less experienced Construction Project Managers. You'll partner closely with Supply Chain Operations, Real Estate, Facilities, and Finance leadership to translate network strategy into built environments — anticipating risk before it materializes and making sound decisions with incomplete information across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of construction project management experience, including on-site execution of industrial, warehouse, distribution, or logistics facility projects, supported by a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in estimating, contracts, site operations, and safety within operating industrial/logistics environments
  • A track record of independently leading the most complex projects in a portfolio — multi-site, high-budget, or high-ambiguity — and mentoring less experienced team members, paired with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to manage multiple concurrent projects, interpret contract documents and MEP systems, and build trust across multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders
  • A forward-thinking, quality-driven, continuous-improvement mindset, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Coupa, AutoCAD, and scheduling software, and willingness to travel up to 50% to support projects across the Supply Chain network

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of large, complex, or multi-site Supply Chain construction projects — from scoping and budgeting through bid, construction, and closeout — with minimal oversight
  • Lead design development and value engineering to balance speed, cost, and quality across concurrent projects
  • Oversee construction from bid through closeout, selecting and managing general contractors and trades and coordinating with jurisdictions and Supply Chain site teams to ensure delivery meets time, cost, safety, quality, and program expectations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Supply Chain Operations, Real Estate, Legal, and Finance partners, managing complex and often competing priorities while supporting contract execution and compliance — including change orders, payments, and closeout documentation — on projects with significant budget and schedule complexity
  • Represent Design & Construction in cross-functional network planning discussions, providing construction feasibility and cost input that informs site selection and network strategy
  • Act as a technical escalation point for less experienced Construction Project Managers, identifying risks before they materialize and driving continuous improvement of Design & Construction's processes, tools, and standards across the Supply Chain portfolio
