About The Position

IREN is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects under an owner-operator-GC model. This role is accountable for construction strategy, field execution, and contractor performance, ensuring safe, predictable, and high-quality delivery across complex, multi-phase developments. You will drive execution across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, bringing together diverse teams to deliver projects that meet the highest standards for reliability, performance, and operational readiness. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive construction management experience delivering large-scale, multi-discipline industrial projects
  • Demonstrated success leading complex field execution across multiple contractors, trades, and concurrent workstreams
  • Strong knowledge of EPCM, design-build, and CM-at-risk delivery models
  • Proven experience managing schedule, cost control, forecasting, change management, and risk mitigation
  • Working knowledge of building codes and electrical infrastructure, including MV/HV distribution systems
  • Experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capability in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, including structured reporting and executive-level updates
  • Ability to work on-site to support project delivery
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering mission-critical data center or critical infrastructure projects
  • Experience across multiple jurisdictions, including permitting and inspection processes (U.S. and/or Canada)
  • Experience supporting commissioning, integrated systems testing, and turnover to operations
  • Exposure to developing standards, playbooks, and repeatable delivery processes
  • Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end project delivery across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and scope for data center construction projects
  • Establish and execute construction strategy aligned with project objectives and delivery models (EPC, design-build, CM-at-risk)
  • Lead site execution across multiple contractors, trades, and concurrent workstreams to ensure coordinated and efficient delivery
  • Develop and manage integrated project schedules, including critical path, milestones, and sequencing
  • Drive budget discipline through forecasting, cost-to-complete tracking, and change/contingency management
  • Provide clear visibility into schedule and cost performance to project and executive stakeholders
  • Lead contractor, supplier, and field performance across EPC, lump sum, and T&M engagements
  • Remove execution constraints and resolve cross-trade coordination issues to maintain productivity and progress
  • Ensure workforce accountability, productivity, and alignment with project goals
  • Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks, including regulatory, safety, and quality risks
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal processes
  • Champion a strong safety culture and enforce EHS and QA/QC standards across all site activities
  • Ensure construction readiness for commissioning, integrated systems testing, and operational turnover
  • Drive completion of punch lists, documentation, and high-quality turnover packages
  • Partner with commissioning and operations teams to deliver fully functional, operational systems
  • Build and lead high-performing construction teams, driving accountability and performance through KPIs
  • Support team development, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide clear, decision-quality reporting to project leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment across Engineering, Procurement, Controls, Commissioning, and Operations teams
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively
