As a trusted advisor and project leader, you will provide construction leadership for greenfield and brownfield mining developments, mineral processing facilities, mine infrastructure, and capital expansion projects while helping grow our presence across Nevada and the broader U.S. Southwest.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent senior-level mining construction experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive construction and construction management experience in mining, mineral processing, industrial, or heavy construction environments with owners or EPCM experience.
  • Demonstrated experience across the complete project lifecycle, from pre-feasibility and feasibility through construction, commissioning, startup, and handover.
  • Strong knowledge of mining project execution, constructability, construction planning, field operations, and contractor management.
  • Experience working within EPCM, EPC, and owner-managed delivery models.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management, change, claims avoidance, schedule management, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary field teams and multiple contractors in complex project environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, estimates, contracts, and work packages.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout Nevada and the U.S. Southwest and work from client or project sites as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Significant project experience in Nevada and strong knowledge of the regional mining industry, labor market, contractors, suppliers, permitting environment, logistics, and construction conditions.
  • Experience supporting gold, copper, lithium, critical minerals, or other hard-rock mining projects.
  • Established relationships within the Nevada and U.S. Southwest mining and contractor community.
  • Experience with both greenfield developments and brownfield expansions in operating facilities.
  • Working knowledge of MSHA requirements and mine-site safety practices.
  • Previous leadership responsibility for mechanical completion, commissioning, startup, and handover of major capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction expertise during PFS, FS, front-end engineering, and detailed design to ensure project concepts are practical, safe, and executable.
  • Lead constructability reviews, execution planning, construction risk assessments, site logistics studies, and construction strategy development.
  • Support capital cost estimates and schedules with field-informed input on construction methods, productivity, labor, equipment, temporary facilities, indirect costs, and sequencing.
  • Work with engineering and procurement teams to define work packages, optimize designs, improve construction readiness, and reduce field rework.
  • Identify opportunities for modularization, prefabrication, early works, and alternative execution approaches that improve certainty and site performance.
  • Lead construction execution from early works and mobilization through mechanical completion, turnover, and closeout.
  • Develop and implement construction management plans, organization and staffing plans, site procedures, field controls, and execution strategies.
  • Direct multidisciplinary construction teams and coordinate multiple contractors and subcontractors across concurrent work fronts.
  • Monitor and drive performance in safety, quality, cost, schedule, productivity, risk, and contractor compliance.
  • Provide proactive leadership in resolving field constraints, technical issues, interface conflicts, change, and contractor performance concerns.
  • Ensure construction activities remain aligned with design intent, contract requirements, client objectives, and operational priorities.
  • Provide construction leadership across open pit and underground mine infrastructure, crushing and conveying systems, mineral processing facilities, and material handling systems.
  • Support delivery of tailings management facilities, water management systems, site utilities, access roads, power distribution, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Lead execution planning for process plant expansions, sustaining capital, shutdowns, tie-ins, and brownfield upgrades in or adjacent to operating facilities.
  • Manage interfaces between engineering, vendors, operations, commissioning, and active construction areas.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with mining clients, contractors, suppliers, and industry partners throughout Nevada and the U.S. Southwest.
  • Act as a senior construction advisor during project development, execution, and operational readiness.
  • Support proposals, project pursuits, interviews, execution strategies, and client engagement activities.
  • Contribute local market insight, construction intelligence, and lessons learned to improve project planning and delivery.
  • Mentor construction professionals and help build a high-performing regional Mining & Metals team.
  • Support development of commissioning, startup, systems completion, and operational readiness plans.
  • Coordinate mechanical completion, punch listing, turnover documentation, system handover, and contractor closeout.
  • Facilitate integration between construction, commissioning, operations, engineering, and vendors.
  • Help ensure a safe, disciplined transition from construction through startup and into operations.
  • Champion a visible, field-based culture of health, safety, security, and environmental excellence.
  • Promote proactive hazard identification, risk management, and effective contractor safety leadership.
