About The Position

Our Construction Management team is currently seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our growing LA team! Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience working in landscape construction inspection for highway or major public works.
  • Demonstrated experience with concepts and practices related to complex engineering and construction infrastructure projects is required.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to utilize any project-related software.

Responsibilities

  • Capable of assisting the Resident Engineer in all aspects of required Construction Inspection services and office engineering work.
  • Interpret contract specifications and special provisions.
  • Must be capable of performing inspection for quality workmanship, including field measurements of construction materials and products.
  • Identify changes, errors or field adjustments to the contract documents and recommend action to the Resident Engineer.
  • Apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks as part of a broad range of project assignments.
  • Monitor contractor’s work progress and schedule and maintain daily records that track this performance.
  • Support contract compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Assist in the resolution of design/coordination issues.
  • Attend and facilitate various meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Assist in project close-out.
  • Other duties as assigned.
