About The Position

Keville Enterprises Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Construction Inspector to join their team in Rocky Hill, CT. The company specializes in providing construction management and support services as an owner's representative on public and private projects. The Senior Construction Inspector will focus on inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications, contract administration, reporting daily progress, tracking and documenting quantities of work performed, resolving construction problems and challenges in the field, and other oversight responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform quantity takeoffs/calculations
  • Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • A minimum of four years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field
  • Two years in a field inspection capacity
  • A NICET Level 3 is required
  • A current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's License or a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field is also acceptable
  • Fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software
  • A current, valid US State driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
  • OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment
  • Background checks required

Nice To Haves

  • Other certifications including NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI are a plus.
