The Senior Construction Engineer, Piping is primarily responsible for providing technical engineering information to company supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes and specifications. This role actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values,” representing the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” The engineer will interpret design or drawings for crafts installing material, research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors, and prepare “as built” drawings as required. They will also prepare, submit, and track submittals, RFIs (requests for information), and maintain required documentation records such as drawing and spec revisions, line and valve lists, progress status reports, and punch lists. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and commenting on the constructability of design, conducting value-engineering functions, attending coordination meetings, and providing oversight to the preparation of test and turnover packages. Obtaining necessary building permits and coordinating inspection and testing services are also key responsibilities. The Senior Construction Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendents with planning and scheduling, and maintain liaison with project management, clients, and subcontractors on all controls-related items, including reporting requirements, budgets, and cash flow, ensuring corporate cost control and estimating standards are implemented.
