Contract Senior Concept Artist
About The Position
Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio best known for its hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime." As one of the hottest new properties in gaming, the team is expanding. Mob Entertainment is looking for talented Concept Artists with a passion for environment design, character design, and asset design to work on the Poppy Playtime IP with a focus on realism. The role requires an eye-catching portfolio and a personality that fits a culture of innovative creativity and collaborative problem-solving. The company is interested in seeing initial ideas and sketches along with final rendering quality, and the ability to bring character and personality to designs is a must. Candidates should include their most creative pieces in their portfolio.
Requirements
- An eye-catching portfolio is a must.
- Fluency in Photoshop.
- Understanding of complimentary software and tools.
- Knowhow of photobashing and 3D is a huge plus.
- A strong grasp of colour, light, composition, anatomy, perspective and depth.
- Adaptability – Switching quickly and fluidly to new requirements and processes when required.
- Collaboration – Receptive to taking feedback and working together with team-mates.
- Software: Perforce, Adobe Suite, Dropbox, Coda, Unreal Engine, Quixel Megascans
- Illustration, 3d modeling, Photobashing
Nice To Haves
- No formal training is required but an eye-catching portfolio is a must.
- Knowhow of photobashing and 3D is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Work on the Poppy Playtime IP with a focus on realism.
- Create artwork that is well presented and defined from sketch through to final polish.
- Solve creative problems through innovative design, balancing form and function.
- Provide multiple creative options and iterate upon them as projects progress.
- Switch quickly and fluidly to new requirements and processes when required.
- Understand creative briefs, then consider elements such as context, timescales and creative constraints when solving tasks.
- Create high-quality work within allocated timescales.
- Be receptive to taking feedback and working together with team-mates.
