About The Position

Great Hill Solutions is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Engineer Architect – SME at MacDill AFB to provide cloud technology and engineering support across multiple cloud provider environments and support the design, implementation, and evaluation of cloud solutions.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience providing cloud technology and engineering across multiple cloud provider environments.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Experience designing and deploying IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and data protection.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration and implementation activities.
  • Experience developing technical, architectural, and security documentation.
  • Experience conducting technical evaluations and providing engineering oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and establish target and reference architectures for hybrid cloud-based applications and services.
  • Provide cloud technology and engineering across multiple cloud provider environments to investigate, define, evaluate, implement, document, and report on innovative technologies.
  • Design and deploy cloud solutions supporting IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS across USSOCOM.
  • Support migration of IT services, test environments, storage, M365, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive to commercial cloud solutions.
  • Plan, design, engineer, and implement technical solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud-based services.
  • Identify interconnectivity methods and develop high-level designs, including resource groups, VNets, subnets, virtual machines, and traffic flows.
  • Create governance guardrails addressing access to services and authorized cloud service deployments.
  • Assist PMs/APMs and J6 in defining and evaluating relevant cloud technologies.
  • Develop technical implementation plans, engineering diagrams, schedules, and equipment cost estimates and provide engineering oversight during implementation.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of cloud architecture and security and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor cloud service and resource consumption and analyze performance metrics to recommend improvements.
