Senior Computer Engineer
About The Position
My client is seeking a Senior Computer Engineer to support a high-impact national security program in Chantilly, VA. The role blends embedded software, machine learning, and reverse engineering work to tackle some of today's toughest technical challenges. This position offers the opportunity to work directly on critical national security and defense missions, applying languages like Go and Rust alongside C/C++ in embedded, real-time systems. You will get hands-on with reverse engineering of custom operating systems and lead your own tasks within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship required
- Background in national security, defense, or the intelligence community
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze technical information from multiple sources to drive fast-moving missions
- Design and implement machine learning and data engineering techniques for S&T missions
- Develop in C/C++, applying newer languages like Go or Rust to embedded systems
- Support real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded system development
- Apply reverse engineering principles to analyze compiled custom operating systems
- Independently propose and execute creative solutions to unique technical problems
