About The Position

Anduril is seeking a Senior Composite Technician to collaborate with design and integration teams developing AI-controlled aerospace structures at its Morrisville, North Carolina location. The role involves fabricating, processing, assembling, and correcting composite parts and assemblies to engineering specifications. The work schedule is Monday through Friday on either first shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or second shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Requirements

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Cut, lay up, fabricate, cure, and assemble composite products and assemblies, including bonded and mechanically fastened assemblies.
• Apply knowledge of material physical properties and the forming and processing characteristics of thermosets, thermoplastics, composites, and adhesives.
• Locate critical reference points and coordinate parts and subassemblies to required tolerances during assembly and design or modification changes.
• Build laminated assemblies by placing composite plies and adhesives on tools or molds.
• Prepare parts for bagging by placing bleeders, thermocouples, probes, and vacuum connections, and check completed bag seals for leaks.
• Set up assemblies and parts in processing and curing equipment, such as autoclaves or ovens.
• Operate oven controls to maintain the required temperature, pressure, and time cycle according to engineering materials process specifications.
• Correct defects as required.
