About The Position

The Senior Compliance Technician performs routine and advanced inspections, testing, and equipment certification, as well as maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment as directed by a dispatcher or manager. The role also helps lead and train junior compliance staff through mentorship. The technician performs compliance work at petroleum fueling locations, follows safety and customer protocols, maintains certifications, equipment, vehicles, and inventory, and completes work orders and required paperwork. The position requires independent work as well as effective teamwork, customer service, and flexibility to work some overnights and travel as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Leadership skills and ability to guide junior technicians.

Ability to work flexible hours, including some overnights, and travel as needed.
Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; frequently bend, stoop, and stand for 8–10 hours per day.
Ability to frequently kneel, bend, handle, reach, stand, and lift up to 60 pounds unassisted or 100 pounds with assistance, while working safely in high-traffic areas.
Must meet company employment requirements, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check, and an MVR check if driving for the company.
Possess or obtain applicable certifications, including A/B UST operator certification in each servicing state; UST Inspection & Maintenance, PEI RP 900; testing UST spill, overfill, leak detection, and secondary containment, RP 1200; Veeder Root ATG or equivalent; Petrotite Line Leak equipment or equivalent; Alert Tank Testing equipment or equivalent; and additional training such as Red Jacket, Franklin Fueling, OPW, and EMCO.

Nice To Haves

Minimum two years’ experience with petroleum-related equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow JF Petroleum Group safety policies and procedures and report unsafe conditions.
Complete online and classroom training courses.
Maintain certifications and licenses in good standing and up to date.
Wear the proper uniform and PPE and maintain a professional demeanor.
Ensure company vehicles and equipment are properly maintained.
Perform regular and advanced compliance testing and inspections at petroleum fueling locations.
Meet the due dates specified in work orders.
Complete required local, state, and federal paperwork promptly and professionally.
Follow customer protocols, including safety and housekeeping guidelines.
Maintain inventory levels to support an acceptable first-time fix rate.
Complete work orders in an ERP system and use electronic equipment to check in and out.
Deliver service that meets customer and JF Petroleum Group expectations.
Mentor junior compliance staff and provide leadership and guidance.
Perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment as directed by the dispatcher or manager.
