About The Position

Retell AI is seeking its first Senior Compliance Manager to establish and lead the company's security and compliance program from the ground up. This role is critical for enabling enterprise and healthcare deals, directly impacting revenue. The Senior Compliance Manager will report to the founder and collaborate closely with Engineering and Sales teams. The primary goal is to create an audit-ready compliance program that instills trust in enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in compliance, GRC, or security auditing.
• Proven experience owning at least one SOC 2 Type II audit.
• Experience in a VC-backed SaaS/AI company or a Big 4/audit firm with SOC 2 or ISO work.
• Ability to explain controls to both engineers and CISOs.
• A proactive approach to identifying and fixing compliance gaps early.

Nice To Haves

• CISA, CISM, or CRISC certification.
• Hands-on experience with Vanta or Drata.
• HIPAA experience with healthcare customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 programs from initiation through completion, including managing auditors and the GRC platform.
• Respond promptly to security questionnaires and RFPs, and maintain the accuracy of the trust center.
• Develop and oversee policies, manage vendor risk, and conduct training.
• Stay updated on new regulations affecting voice AI.
• Participate in enterprise sales calls to address security and compliance inquiries.
• Ensure precision in controls, evidence, and documentation.
• Provide clear and concise answers to customer security teams.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers to implement controls without hindering progress.
• Proactively identify risks before they are discovered by auditors or customers.
• Build a compliance program rather than merely maintaining an existing one.
