About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Senior Compliance Auditor to conduct and/or assist in conducting reviews of assigned gaming revenue audits for compliance with guidelines established by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. This role ensures department standard operating procedures (SOP) are following gaming regulations through established procedures. The Senior Compliance Auditor will perform sample testing of GRA teams audit procedures, review documentation and support to ensure compliance with controls, and report testing results to the department manager. This position is responsible for maintaining alignment of standard operating procedures with the GCB Minimum Internal Controls and Boyd Gaming Internal Controls, administering the annual SOP review and recertification process, and preparing periodic SOP updates related to GCB MICS updates or GCB / IA audit findings. The role requires communicating problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner, promoting an effective relationship between the department, the operating property, and other departments, and ensuring effective operational processes. All functions must be performed with the highest level of integrity, observing and following all safety procedures. The Senior Compliance Auditor will also perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal and accounting control procedures of gaming operations.
  • Excellent written, verbal and public presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner.
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, basic office equipment, and 10-key.
  • Clear understanding of change management abilities, including participating in the development of solutions which require comprehensive shifts in operational practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Strong team player that has a direct approach and is solution oriented.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Able to effectively communicate and present in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
