About The Position

The Crum & Forster Accident & Health (A&H) division has offered a diverse portfolio of specialty insurance and reinsurance products nationwide since 2000, with a strong focus on product development, creative distribution methods, excellent client service, and support. Our global capabilities provide partners with broader flexibility in underwriting solutions, with gross premium written in 2025 surpassing $2.4B. The Compliance Department is responsible for the submission of product filings (forms/rates/rules) to state departments of insurance to support profitable business growth, reviewing marketing materials for adherence to unfair trade practices and advertising guidelines, and working with underwriting to ensure policies and certificates are properly issued. The Senior Compliance Analyst will operate independently and in team settings, drafting and filing policy forms (including benefit designs, schedules, and general provisions), reviewing advertising/marketing materials for compliance with laws, regulations, and company guidelines, ensuring consistency with product parameters, and identifying and addressing problematic language in line with current regulatory requirements and market standards. This role is responsible for the maintenance and regulatory compliance of assigned Accident & Health (A&H) and some Property & Casualty (P&C) products offered by Crum & Forster A&H Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of equivalent work experience in the insurance industry, ideally with direct exposure to one or more of the following A&H product lines: Travel, Ancillary Benefits, Stop Loss, Occupational Risk, Travel Medical, Special Risk, Pet, and/or Life Insurance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance compliance laws and regulations; A&H Travel knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Independently draft policy forms reflecting underwriting intent and consistent with regulatory requirements and current market standards for assigned lines of business, with support from Management where required
  • Manage complex product projects for assigned lines of business or products (admitted or non-admitted), collaborating with Underwriting, Claims, Legal, and Actuarial to produce final quality insurance products
  • Initiate and publish competitor filing information periodically and/or at request of Manager or business. Stay current on developments affecting marketing, product design, development, and filing requirements
  • Review and assess regulatory changes, including statutes, regulations, bulletins, and industry trends, to determine filing and regulatory requirements
  • Independently review advertising materials, including websites, to ensure compliance with internal standards and state regulatory guidelines, within established timeframes and utilizing tools available
  • Analyze with the ability to identify problematic language in marketing/advertisements as identified by guidelines applicable to that product
  • Develop issue instructions and translate approved filings into product fulfillment and ensure that the approved product is operationalized
  • Prepare, develop and issue policy contracts, amendments and related forms as needed for complex product structures, in accordance with company policy and state regulations
  • Respond to routine compliance-related requests and inquiries from the various business areas in a timely fashion
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, external partners (such as TPAs and MGAs), and foster teamwork across the organization
  • Perform other related duties, including short- or long-term projects, as assigned by the manager
  • Other duties as assigned
