About The Position

The Senior Communications Electronics Maintenance Technician is responsible for Level 1 preventive and corrective maintenance, fault isolation, restoration, and interacting with Level 2/depot-level interfaces. Reporting to program leadership, this position requires proficiency in technical maintenance, adherence to established procedures, and collaborative support to mission-critical systems. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in maintaining mission-critical systems, such as: Electronics, communications, electro-optical equipment. Radar, telescopy, industrial control systems, or similar systems.
  • Proven competency in the following skills: Fault isolation, preventive/corrective maintenance, and technical-order compliance.
  • Reading and interpreting schematics and using diagnostic test equipment.
  • Configuration management discipline and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Top Secret/ SCI Clearance is required.
  • A valid passport is required, along with completed overseas medical and dental clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, military technical school, or trade/engineering-technology program certification.
  • OEM/technical-order qualifications and certifications directly applicable to mission systems, as well as post-hire completion of electrical/electronics safety, IMDS, TMDE, and site-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform authorized preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, fault isolation, component replacement, and return-to-service testing in compliance with technical orders.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, equipment status, discrepancies, and actions in the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) and other required logs.
  • Ensure compliance with spares management, Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), configuration control, and technical data processes.
  • Escalate complex issues to the program Weapon System Maintenance Lead, Level 2/depot maintenance, or engineering support teams while adhering to authorization limits specified in Appendix G.
  • Participate in cross-training exclusively with the other Senior Communications-Electronics Maintenance Technician.
  • Ensure redundancy and coverage as part of a two-person, same-labor-category senior maintenance pool.
  • Maintain discipline in work responsibilities, avoiding role overlaps with Communications-Electronics Technicians or program leads.
  • Other duties as assigned.
