About The Position

Videojet Technologies, part of Veralto, is seeking a Senior Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing risk, optimizing costs, maintaining supply continuity, and delivering value to customers. It involves influencing global procurement strategies and working hands-on with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives. The position is based in Wood Dale, Illinois, with a hybrid arrangement requiring at least three days onsite, and reports to the Global Procurement Director.

The Senior Commodity Manager will manage material spend of $15 million–$25 million, negotiate supplier contracts, lead cost and value-improvement projects, improve working capital, and support manufacturing sites with supplier quality and delivery issues. The work contributes to product availability and quality for global food, pharmaceutical, and industrial markets, and supports strategic supply-chain and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Strong project management skills and financial acumen.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage material spend of $15 million–$25 million, optimizing costs and ensuring supply continuity.
• Develop and negotiate supplier contracts to minimize total cost of ownership and improve quality.
• Lead PPV/VAVE projects and cross-functional workshops to identify savings opportunities.
• Improve working capital through inventory reduction, lead-time optimization, consignment, 3PL, and other solutions.
• Conduct requests for quotation (RFQs), analyze quotes, and perform cost breakdowns to secure favorable commercial terms.
• Support manufacturing sites in resolving supplier performance issues related to quality and delivery.
• Deliver measurable results aligned with KPIs and strategic goals.
