About The Position

This newly created senior leadership role is responsible for defining and executing ACAMS' commercial product strategy across our training portfolio and digital ecosystem. The role will drive portfolio growth, market expansion, customer value, and commercial performance by developing compelling value propositions, optimizing pricing and packaging strategies, and ensuring ACAMS' offerings remain aligned with evolving industry needs. Working closely with the Chief Product Officer and cross-functional leaders, the successful candidate will translate market insights and strategic priorities into growth initiatives, investment decisions, and scalable solutions that strengthen ACAMS' market leadership and deliver sustainable business results. Accountable for driving growth and the performance of ACAMS' training portfolio and digital ecosystem, including certification and certificate programs, enterprise solutions, pricing and packaging, this position will oversee portfolio strategy, commercial performance through the lifecycle of products. Success will be measured through business growth, revenue performance, customer adoption, market impact, and the ability to capitalize on emerging opportunities across global markets including creating new products from existing content. A key responsibility will be shaping portfolio priorities through customer insights, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and commercial evaluation. The position will work closely with Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure offerings are differentiated, commercially successful, and deliver measurable value for customers and the business. In partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, the successful candidate will lead go-to-market strategies that drive acquisition, retention, expansion, and cross-sell opportunities. This includes defining segment-specific value propositions and growth strategies across enterprise, and individual professionals. The position will lead a team of senior product managers, providing strategic direction, coaching, and portfolio oversight, while fostering a culture of customer focus, accountability, innovation, and commercial excellence. As a senior leader, the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior sales leaders and executive stakeholders representing ACAMS with key customers, partners, and industry practitioners. Working in close partnership with the Chief Product Officer, the role will help shape long-term strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, guide investment decisions, and ensure the portfolio delivers strong commercial performance alongside meaningful customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial acumen and product management expertise including clear understanding of business case development and product performance management
  • At least 10+ years of relevant industry experience in financial services, preferably with exposure to regulated sector
  • Degree/ Master’s Degree in business, law, finance, economics, computing, engineering or other related fields or equivalent experience
  • Strong Excel skills, data analysis and ability to translate metrics into tangible actions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of innovation, new product launch, service/solution design in large complex international organizations for example financial services, consulting, software
  • Experience of securing investment, and managing price transformation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building skills both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with all areas of the organization and the business
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Proactive thinker with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
  • Executive presence, strong communication and writing skills.
  • Must be a fluent English speaker, additional modern languages advantageous
  • Ability to work flexible (off)hours when working on deadlines and occasionally in line with other ACAMS regions’ time zones. Workdays start early due to accommodate ACAMS’ regions’ time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial performance of the product portfolio, including revenue growth, profitability, and market impact.
  • Lead portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and business case development to ensure resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Evaluate portfolio performance, customer demand, strategic alignment, and growth potential, making recommendations on product expansion, enhancement, rationalization, or retirement to maximize long-term value and business results.
  • Develop and maintain pricing and packaging that maximize customer value, competitiveness, and revenue growth across individual, enterprise, and specific segments.
  • Conduct pricing analysis, assess market dynamics and customer willingness to pay, and partner with Sales and Finance to ensure pricing models support acquisition, retention, expansion, and profitability objectives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.
  • Establish clear portfolio ownership and effective operating models that encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of commercial excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement while championing product management best practices and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure the team remains informed on AFC developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to support growth.
  • Lead market, customer, and competitive research to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and evolving customer needs.
  • Define target segments, assess market attractiveness, and evaluate ACAMS positioning to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strengthen mechanisms for gathering and synthesizing customer feedback, both qualitative and quantitative, ensuring insights are translated into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive customer acquisition, adoption, retention, and growth.
  • Ensure the team conducts effective launch planning, sales enablement, customer communications, and ongoing product promotions.
  • Champion initiatives that improve customer experience, increase product adoption, and create opportunities for cross-sell and upsell across the portfolio.
