About The Position

One Community Bank is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to evaluate credit risk by reviewing borrower and guarantor financial information and providing clear recommendations for lending decisions. This role involves managing the bank's most complex credit relationships and serving as a resource for the analyst team. Responsibilities include analyzing financial statements and tax returns, performing cash flow and collateral analysis, preparing credit memos and loan presentations, conducting annual reviews, collaborating with lenders, and reinforcing credit policies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
4–5 years of commercial credit analyst experience in a banking environment
Strong credit risk assessment skills
Strong financial statement analysis skills
Strong memo/presentation writing skills
Knowledge of banking accounting rules, regulations, and policies
Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office skills
Clear communication ability
Mentoring/leadership ability

Responsibilities

Evaluate the risk of extending credit by reviewing borrower and guarantor financial information.
Turn analysis into clear recommendations for lending decisions.
Take ownership of the bank’s most complex credit relationships.
Serve as a go-to resource for the analyst team.
Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
Complete global cash flow and collateral analysis.
Prepare independent credit memos and loan presentations.
Complete annual relationship/loan reviews.
Partner with lenders to gather and clarify financial details.
Reinforce credit policies while offering feedback on department direction.
Coach newer analysts on structure, cash flow, and risk.
Check progress against deadlines and note policy considerations.
Prepare materials for upcoming committee or approval conversations.
