About The Position

One Community Bank is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to evaluate credit risk by reviewing borrower and guarantor financial information and providing clear recommendations for lending decisions. This role involves taking ownership of the bank's most complex credit relationships and serving as a resource for the analyst team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for spreading and analyzing financial statements and tax returns, completing global cash flow and collateral analysis, preparing credit memos and loan presentations, conducting annual relationship/loan reviews, collaborating with lenders, and reinforcing credit policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 4–5 years of commercial credit analyst experience in a banking environment
• Strong credit risk assessment skills
• Strong financial statement analysis skills
• Strong memo/presentation writing skills
• Knowledge of banking accounting rules, regulations, and policies
• Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office skills
• Clear communication ability
• Mentoring/leadership ability

Responsibilities

• Spreading and analyzing financial statements and tax returns
• Completing global cash flow and collateral analysis
• Preparing independent credit memos and loan presentations
• Completing annual relationship/loan reviews
• Partnering with lenders to gather and clarify financial details
• Reinforcing credit policies while offering feedback on department direction
• Coaching newer analysts on structure, cash flow, and risk
• Managing a pipeline of higher-complexity relationships
• Translating numbers into concise conclusions for decision-ready narratives
• Ensuring annual reviews are progressing
• Checking progress against deadlines
• Noting policy considerations
• Preparing materials for committee or approval conversations
