About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to join our Commercial Auto business. In this role, you will develop, retain, and grow complex to highly complex client relationships through relationship management, understanding client needs, responding quickly, communicating proactively, managing expectations, and soliciting feedback. You will act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop, influence, and structure, modify, and renew complex loans and industry-specific solutions by analyzing financials and coordinating with internal stakeholders. You will lead the strategy and resolution for a full suite of highly complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to commercial clients, engaging product organizations and leveraging a solid understanding of clients' businesses. You will provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative business solutions within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group. You will strategically engage with all levels across the enterprise to improve processes, resolve client issues, and represent the company externally, serving as an expert advisor and mentor. You will drive relationship planning activities and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines. You will source and originate new commercial banking relationships by identifying, prospecting, and closing opportunities with middle-market and mid-corporate companies, leveraging referral networks and industry contacts. You will partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision, direction, and expertise on client and market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years working with retail franchise automotive dealerships to provide lending solutions, inventory financing, and floor plan financing
  • Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships, building and retaining long-term client relationships
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships, such as Treasury Management, WIM, and Indirect Retail
  • Commercial banking account relationship management experience within the Emerging Middle Market / Middle Market segment
  • Completion of formal credit training program
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver the organization to clients and prospects
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop, influence, and structure, modify, and renew complex cash flow, real estate loans, and certain other industry specific solutions by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution for a full suite of highly complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to commercial clients to meet highly complex and unique needs that require an in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise, by engaging product organizations to develop client specific solutions, leveraging a solid understanding of clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions.
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group that are cross functional and companywide strategies.
  • Strategically engage with all levels across the enterprise to improve processes and risk control, resolve client issues while achieving Wells Fargo’s business objectives, and represent the company externally; serve as an expert advisor to leadership and a mentor for less experienced colleagues.
  • Drive relationship planning activities to deliver the full suite of solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines by keeping information current in relevant systems.
  • Source and originate new commercial banking relationships by proactively identifying, prospecting, and closing opportunities with middle-market and mid-corporate companies—leveraging referral networks, centers of influence, and industry contacts to drive new loan, deposit, fee and treasury management revenue.
  • Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on client and market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively, including large-scale, cross-functional, or company-wide strategies.
