About The Position

We’re hiring Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinists for a precision manufacturing facility supporting aerospace, defense, medical device, and other high-precision industries. This role is focused on developing new machining processes, launching new products, solving difficult machining challenges, and building repeatable systems that production teams can rely on. You’ll prove out new jobs, refine complex setups, and work closely with engineering and programming using advanced equipment, including Hermle 5-axis machining centers, automated probing, and modern inspection technology. On the weekend shift, you’ll also help develop and implement a training program for junior machinists. You’ll share the technical knowledge, habits, and problem-solving skills needed to succeed on complex work, helping the next generation launch their careers while strengthening the shop for the long term. Requirements

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • 5-axis setup experience
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Tight-tolerance machining experience
  • First-piece inspection experience
  • Strong tooling and workholding knowledge
  • Machining troubleshooting experience

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing
  • Simultaneous 5-axis or mill-turn experience
  • Siemens or Heidenhain controls
  • Siemens NX experience
  • Titanium, Inconel, or nickel alloy machining
  • CMM inspection experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead setup and prove-out of new machining projects.
  • Independently complete complex 5-axis setups.
  • Develop fixturing, tooling, and workholding strategies.
  • Optimize machining processes for repeatable production.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
  • Resolve machining, tooling, and process issues.
  • Support robotic cells and lights-out manufacturing.
  • Document and transfer processes to production.
  • Improve machining performance and cycle times.
  • Support less experienced machinists as needed.
